Shush Money - Kazoo 48 2024

Image
Winner of nothing at the 2024 Kazoo 48 Hour Film Festival. Super proud of this one and the team that created it.  From the idea that came from Justin to the welcoming of new members Jane and Pasha, everyone was great and I'll no longer say "THIS IS THE LAST ONE" after each of these we make.

Vanity Plate - Kazoo 48 Hour Film Festival 2023

Image
Did I really not make anything in the year 2022?  Shame on me.   The trend almost continued into 2023... but despite it being a bad week with very low response from my team and horrible weather: I made it happen. I say I because it was only me behind and in front of the camera.  I was listening to the Fort Minor Song "Remember the Name"   and it kind of fit the vibes I was giving myself cranking this out.   Vanity Plate I have an FWF Pictures vanity plate on my crappy car.  I think there is a better movie to be made about it but this is what I got.  You have the home owner posturing as a "man of the house" and a runner trying to force himself into success.  They run into each other and learn get a small amount of perspective before the whole thing ends in bloodshed (as many of my movies do because I don't have the time or energy for a natural conclusion). Behind the Scenes I'm fine with how it turned out.  The audio isn't nearly as bad as I thought it

“The 49th Hour” First Feature Script

Image
I heard the term “brain-slivers” recently in reference to something you can’t get out of your head.  There are couple of film ideas that have been my personal brain-slivers so late last year I decided to take a break from social media and dig for the sliver in order to get one out of my head. This brain-sliver is called:  The 49th Hour  and it is my first feature length script. Log Line: A trouble man gathers a group of to make a movie on a cross country road trip as a way to ignore his current life crisis. Genres: Comedy, Road Trip, Coming of Age, Underdog Story Expected MPAA Rating: hard PG-13 or a soft R for language. It is written and almost well formatted.  I think it has a lot of structural problems but it’s an easy read.  A side goal was to write something that I could potentially put a team together and produce.  I don’t know if I will but it is definitely achievable with my current resources. My next step is to enjoy it being out of my head and on the page for a few months the

Year in Videogames 2021

Image
Somehow videogames became a small part of my career in 2021.  Hoping it grows into something "real real" but happy with progress and willing opportunities into existence.  As for what I played, it seemed like a lot before I started typing.  Here is the list, over half of them didn't come out in 2021 but I'm keeping up the best I can. If there is a theme to this year it is being in awe of Xbox Game Pass and still waiting for a true next gen experience. Mass Effect Legendary Edition My original plan was to replay the trilogy 1 at a time with a game in between but I decided to complete them in a row while the story and decisions were still fresh.   Mass Effect 1 has not aged well gameplay wise but everything else is even better than it was during original release.  They play like butter on new consoles and the load times are very quick.  There is something special in these games with the amount of choice offered but still under control from a narrative and gameplay stand
